the "Dual Effect"

Just after the two biggest cricket events that the Indian fans love to witness, the game hasn’t lost the spark. Be it the England Sri-Lanka series or the India tour of West Indies which is tiresome for some to watch till late night.
For some fun, we would look at the sides talked above.
So what is common between India and England. No  not the independence battle. We are here to talk cricket guys.... think.. Give your brains some work to do..
Ok I’ll tell you. Both the sides are ON THE RISE. Both India and England have played outstanding cricket for the past couple of years. The Englishmen took the 20-20 World cup home last year(strange they were not used to winning world trophies inspite of cricket being their national game and they have played it longer than any other country in the world. Thanks to Mr.Collingwood.) and the Indian side clinching on to the World cup this year, the most coveted trophy of the game.
These  accomplishments are no cake walks, for sure. The combined competence and hard work of the team and the captains have led to the success. The dual effect that we are talking about is the difference made by a good CAPTAIN and a good TEAM. Though it is always believed that a good captain makes a good team but still it takes a lot other than from just the captain to win a game.
With Dhoni and Strauss, the two gentlemen of the game leading the sides it is actually the dual effect that is making them win. They have a good team and they know how to use their resources. The magic of a good team and a good captain working in tandem is massive. The Indian team and the England team has rose above all. They have been on the top of the ranking tables in the most testing form of the game..test cricket. Above all this the team director has played a major role. The two veteran southpaws (Gary Kirsten and Andy Flower) have been at their best.   Hats off to the two sides.
On the contrary, we will talk about the same dual effect in exactly opposite sense. We will talk about the West Indies cricket. The effect has had significant consequences. For WI it has been drastic. The continuous downfall of the team’s playing standards and non-ending controversies has done the nation and the sport no good. For current times the credit goes to a bad CAPTAIN and a bad TEAM. Above these the management has been school boy silly.
Mr.Darren Sammy is one of the most successful loosers and the team is following on his footsteps. If we put India and England in the category of the “high achievers” of the recent times,  it would not be wrong to put WI in the category of “high loosers”. This demonstrates the dual effect.

So guys I think we now know the success mantra. Just make that dual effect work in your favour. Either build up a good team on a good captain or wait for an opponent with a bad team and bad captain(would be being too ambitious).

We hope Sri Lanka doesn’t follow the WI...or if they do....they may be losing against the mighty Indians.
